I love this song. It is in Swedish, called “Tro” (Faith, Belief) and is sung by Marie Fredriksson. One of my favorite songs for years.

How to survive this Monday…

Blasting this at full volume. Only way to drone out office noise and to focus. What would I do without music…

It is once again Sunday evening and soon time for bed. Tomorrow I will go to work for the first time in a week but right now that world is tucked away in a far away corner of my mind.

I am sitting in the sofa looking at my two cats who are cuddled up next to each other sleeping. I have a feel-good book in my hand and mellow music playing in the background. And I smile.

This is what Sunday evenings should be like; relaxing, quiet and making you smile. It doesn’t get much better than this on the chill-out scale.

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday evening. Here is one of my favorite chill-out songs.

As I have been a bit too gloomy in my last few post I decided I will just listen to lots of music this evening. Letting it work it’s magic…

Music can always get me in a good mood. It helps me focus in my job. It makes me push that little extra in the gym. It can convey something to all.

Oh… and I happen to love this song. 🙂

This is a topic that one of my FB friends shared, an exercise that has popped up a bit everywhere in cyberspace. I do not know who started it so I can’t give credit to where credit is due. This is basically about putting together a list of fifteen music albums that always will stick with you.

So I started assembling my list which actually took a while to put together as I never seem to remember the name of a song or album of an artist that I like. I am lucky if I remember the artist’s name… and my singing is so atrocious I can’t even sing the song so that others can think of the name, they normally just look at me as if I am insane, hence why I don’t sing in front of others really. This inability to remember songs and so forth also means that I inevitably always loose any pop quiz I am dragged into (as I never enter voluntarily). But I digress.

The rules for this were: Don’t take too long to think about it (it did for me though). Fifteen albums you’ve heard that will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes (riiight).

Here is my list at the moment in no particular order:

So my question to you is now: How does your list look?

Just a quick post really…am sitting here the office waiting for a thing to finish running so that I can go home…. so am listening to a great cover of the song “Feeling Good” and thought I’d share:

Happy days!

I love listening to music. All kinds of music. There are not many music categories that I do not like or at least where I do not find at least one song that I really like. Music is important to me. Unfortunately I cannot sing or play any instruments. Trust me, I have tried and failed miserably each time. 🙂 I believe there is a song for each mood and not only can you choose songs depending on your mood but music can also alter your state of mind.

The right music at the right time can make all the difference in the world. It can make an unassuming night out turn into a “oh-my-god-what-a-fantastic-night-to-remember”! Sharing music with friends is fantastic and in those moments it doesn’t matter that you cannot sing (provided that the volume is high enough anyway… 🙂 ).

Music inspires my life. There have been plenty of times when I have been angry, sad, frustrated or plain old bored and then I put on some tunes and sit down, the music totally seeping into me and all the negative feelings disappear and I feel happy and relaxed. Music can make me want to work out, to read, to clean, to love, to write and to just close my eyes and listen. Music makes new and brings out old memories and it makes me realize that without music our lives would be all that much poorer. Let’s live a rich life with many memories and keep creating many more to come.
